Trunk Or Treat

After the party at Midwestern, we headed to church for the Trunk or Treat.  We didn’t take a lot of pictures, but there was a chili cook-off, games for the kids, and a Trunk-or-Treat.

Makenna going “fishing” (notice Max the Troublemaker in the background “stealing” the fishing pole!):

Makenna made me laugh so hard when she was trying to eat the doughnut off the string!  I kept telling her, “No hands!” but she used them anyway!

The kids actually played the longest (and had the most fun) in a little tunnel that was set up for them.  I couldn’t figure out a good way to take pictures of it though…

Before the trunk-or-treating outside, they had a costume parade in the gym.  Max cried and cried—he was DONE with the trunk-or-treat:

It was too dark to take pictures of the trunk-or-treat, but we got LOTS of candy!!! : )

Midwestern Halloween Party

Friday was the annual Halloween Party at Austin’s school.  They really do such a good job at this party—trick-or-treating at the offices (which we arrived to late for) and lots of games, crafts, food, and fun!

We had another costume change on Friday.  The kids’ Tinkerbell and Peter Pan costumes were too dirty from wearing them on both Wednesday and Thursday, so we pulled out some more dress-up clothes (my mom had sent these for Christmas last year).

Here is our cute little Dorothy:

And the Tin-Man:

Can you tell Makenna has been watching a lot of Toddlers and Tiaras (a show about beauty pageants)?  Look at that pose!

We love the Midwestern Halloween Party!  We are definitely going to miss it next year!

Halloween Party

Whew, was Thursday a busy day!  Thursday night we had a little Halloween Party at our house.  Well, it was supposed to be a tiny Halloween party and then we were going trick-or-treating at each others’ houses.  But we ended up making it a longer Halloween party and everyone was too beat to make it trick-or-treating!  Oh well, it was fun anyway! : )

Max didn’t last for long into the party.  He ate some treats (oh was he messy!) and then begged for bed!  So this was our only picture of him:

I had to include this one Jenn—look at how sweet Natalie looks!

While the moms chatted and the kids played, the Dads were hard at work carving pumpkins:

Pumpkin Patch/Corn Maze/ Farm

Later on Thursday morning, we joined some friends at a pumpkin patch/corn maze/ farm.  We had so much fun!!!

Good grief!  We didn’t even get pictures of the corn maze OR the pumpkin patch OR at our picnic lunch!  Oops!  Just know that we went and it was fun! ; )

Bike Riding Fun

Thursday was a beautiful day!  Actually, it felt like a beautiful summer day (only it was the end of October!).  We decided to head to the front yard to let the kids play with sidewalk chalk and Makenna’s bike.  We really have to get Max a bike too because they were not the best at taking turns!  But it was still lots of fun!

She must have been concentrating hard—look at that tongue! : )
