Spring is finally here!!! After months and months of horrible snow and cold, we are finally getting sunny days and warm temperatures… and I LOVE it! : )
This week is our first really nice week so we are celebrating by having not one but TWO BBQs, walking to the park, and trying to enjoy the outdoors as much as possible. We (the kids and I) also got out in the sunshine this week and went to a local farm with our friend Becca. We have probably been to this farm three or four times and the kids just really enjoy themselves there. We watched the cows being milked (and as a nursing mother I sympathize with those poor cows! Haha, TMI?), saw the lambs and goats and chickens and sheep and horses and donkey and ducks and rabbits (and probably more animals I’m forgetting), played on the old tractors (always THE favorite reason for going to the farm for the kids), and had a picnic lunch.
I was holding baby boy the entire time so I didn’t take any pictures. Luckily Becca is a fantastic photographer and got some great shots for us! : )
They had some wagons just sitting there (I think they are used for hayrides). There weren’t any “Keep Off” signs anywhere, so we assumed these were fair game for play!
Max said he was a “worker man.”
My mom asked why Max had on a jacket and the rest of us didn’t. And I’m not sure the answer to that question! All winter Max refused to wear his coat. Now that it is warm, he never wants to go outside without a jacket! It was in the 70s and really warm, yet Mr. Max kept a jacket on the entire time and wouldn’t take it off!
Max would seriously spend ALL DAY playing on these old tractors!
Makenna told us that Max was the husband and she was the wife… so Max had to drive. : D
I guess it’s okay if the wife drives if the husband is unavailable… haha.
It was SUCH fun morning! Sunshine makes me happy!!! : D
