Heh, it’s been a pretty boring time since I’ve last posted. We still never know when Austin will be home and when he will be at work. Some days he goes in at 7 am, some days at 1 pm, and some days not at all. His unpredictable schedule has made OUR schedule fly out the window, that’s for sure! We love having Daddy home, but it’s also hard to go about our daily routine when he is home! I guess it is a sacrifice we are willing to make to get to spend more time with our Dad-o! ; )
So what HAVE we been up to since I posted almost two weeks ago? Well, pretty much the usual. Play and Learn, Early Learning Community Classes, Preschool, dance, going to the gym…
Last Friday we did get to do something fun and out of our usual. We went to a place called Pump It Up with a lot of our friends from the ward. Pump It Up is full of bounce houses, inflatable slides, inflatable obstacle courses, etc. We had a BLAST there! We went for Preschool hour and parents are required to be there with their kids… so I HAD to do all the bouncy things with them, right? I very selflessly sacrificed and played with my kids the whole time we were there. ; ) Ha ha, seriously though, no wonder my kids are so skinny—I was sweating after playing with them! At first, Makenna, Max, and I did all of the activities together. Soon, however, Makenna’s friends showed up and she left us to go and play with them. Luckily Mr. Max still wants his mom to play with him so I had an excuse to play everything! Like a dope, I forgot our new camera, but I did take some pictures on my cell phone (so we are back to the HORRIBLE picture quality!):
We did a LOT of climbing:
(This picture is clear because I stole it off a friend’s blog—she took it with HER camera)
And a lot of sliding (the sliding was my favorite part! Here’s a hint—you go WAY faster if you slide with kids in your lap! I’m not sure if it’s the extra weight or what, but I LOVED it when the kids wanted held while we went down the slide—I’m a speed junkie, ha ha):
Makenna looked SO tiny on the big slide!

Poor Max didn’t do so well sliding by himself—he more ROLLED than slid! This was probably the only time he attempted it alone—after that he wanted either me or Makenna to go with him!

We did a lot of squeezing through tight places (can I just say, it’s hard for a big ole’ mom to fit through those tiny places!!!):

And a lot of jumping:

A lot of crawling (my knees will never be the same!):

And a lot of laughing!
Makenna and Cayson giggling as they land in a heap at the bottom of a slide:
Mr. Max cracked me up wearing his big boxing gloves!

It’s hard to see, but here are Makenna and some of her friends peering down from the top of a slide:

It was such a fun time, and would have only been more fun if Austin could have gone with us (seriously, he is off so much, EXCEPT when we actually have something planned that would have been fun for the whole family!). Luckily Makenna got invited to a birthday party at Pump It Up next week—so we get to go back! : )
Nothing else has really happened out of the ordinary. But I did find these pictures on the camera. I think they are cute, but I have NO CLUE why we took them!
Ha ha, random eating-cake pictures anyone? Seriously, I cannot remember why we took these! I think it was maybe after FHE one night??? Oh well, they are cute, ha ha.
Oh, and this picture cracks me up. We go and check on our kids each night before we go to bed. Max always has some sort of toys in his bed when we check on him. Lately, he has been bringing his stick-horse to bed with him:

A boy needs to sleep with his horse, right? : )
(This picture also shows that we have to bundle Max up to sleep at night! For some reason his room is freezing at night! And you get to see how Max sleeps—with his finger stuck in his mouth! Also, the flash on our camera is awesome, is it not??? His room was pitch-black dark, but it looks like the lights were on!)
So there you go, that’s our “heh” weeks!
