On Wednesday we packed up our things, had breakfast, and then left for our 10 hour drive to Idaho. We actually only stopped one time our whole entire trip and that was to get gas and run into the restroom! We were ready to get to Idaho and see our kiddos! : ) I admit, I am pretty narcoleptic in the car. As soon as we start driving, I fall asleep! Luckily Austin had plenty of books on CD to listen to while we drove!
I was awake while we were driving through St. George. I love the canyon walls (excuse the car windows; we have been driving for days now and our car is sadly in need of a car wash!):
When we got near the mountains in Utah, I was shocked to see SNOW in the mountain tops! Umm, it is JUNE people!!!
We arrived at Austin’s mom’s home at about 6pm. We were SO excited to see the kids! I missed those guys an awful lot! We had dinner and then spent the evening playing with everyone. So much fun!
We spent the entire day on Thursday in Idaho. We spent our day doing laundry, cleaning out the car, organizing our suitcases, and preparing for our long drive back to Michigan. That evening we had a family BBQ. It was good to get to hang out with everyone and have a yummy dinner. After the BBQ we went to visit Austin’s brother’s new home and then went out for yogurt at Kiwi Loco.
Then the kids went back with Grandma Becky to get ready for bed, while Austin and I hung out with Austin’s sister’s family for a while. It ended up being a pretty late night for us, but we had a lot of fun!
On Friday we got up, had breakfast, loaded up the car, and left to head back in Michigan. Austin and I weren’t there for very long, but it was still a nice visit in Idaho!
