On Saturday Makenna had her very first dance recital. She was SO excited to dance “on the big stage”!
We were REALLY short on time that day because of moving Friday night and Saturday morning, but we did manage to get Makenna’s hair all ready that morning. Unfortunately, most of it was already falling down by recital time that afternoon when I snapped the picture:

Makenna’s first dance was a tap routine to “The Itsy Bitsy Spider.” Here she is all dressed up like a spider and showing us a pose from her dance:
She is the very first dancer on the left in the front row:
Their next routine was a ballet dance to the song, “I’m a Very Pretty Rose.” Once again, Makenna starts off as the very first dancer on the left in the front row.
They finished off the recital with a group number:

After her recital, Makenna received a flower from us and another flower from her dance teacher:

Makenna has LOVED dancing with Ms. Jenni this year! Seriously, Thursday afternoons are her favorite time of the week because she gets to go to dance! I’m not sure how she is going to make it until next fall when dance starts back up! : D
