Blech…

So I only have one picture this week—but this time I honestly have an excuse:  sick kids!

On Thursday Max woke up SUPER whiney with a runny nose and a cough.  We gave him a bath and noticed a rash on his tummy, so we took him to the doctor… and he has STREP!!!  Seriously, we had no clue.  He didn’t act like he had a sore throat at all!  A friend asked, “Where could he have picked up strep?”  Let’s see… we had the 4th of July party Sunday, had a friend over Monday, went to the library for Baby Time on Tuesday, went to the gym on Wednesday and then had friends over in the afternoon… lots of opportunities to pick up something! So poor guy has been super sick and pretty much driving us nuts with his whininess/clinginess.  It’s so not fun to have sick kids!

Makenna has had the runny nose/cough stuff too so we took her to the doctor yesterday.  They said she was negative for strep, but because her throat was really red and their test is only 75% accurate, they were sending the test out and we will find out for sure tomorrow if she has it or not.  Needless to say, this hasn’t been the most fun few days!

It’s also been a bit of a bummer because everyone (except for us!!!) is on vacation!  Yesterday Makenna started listing off her friends that she wanted to play with.  “Eliza?”  “Nope—she’s on vacation.”  “Natalie and Maejae?”  “Vacation.”  “Logan and Cole?”  “Vacation.”  “Michael and Katelynn?” (sorry Emma, she didn’t mention you! : o ) “Vacation.”  Seriously, EVERYONE is on vacation right now!  Come back people!!!

The only picture I got this week was one of the climbing Mr. Max.  The problem with his climbing is that he doesn’t know how to get down once he is up!  And that makes him VERY unhappy!

That face shows EXACTLY what we’ve had to put up with during these sick days!  Here’s hoping we have a better week with well children and friends back in town!
