This week was Max’s first week of preschool. As I’ve mentioned, oh about seven million times, I am teaching preschool at home for Max and four other kids from his Sunbeam class at church. Even though his mom is his teacher and preschool is just held at his house, I think Max is really liking school and feels like he is going to a “real” preschool!
On the first day of school, I just had to take a million pictures of this cute guy! He just looks so, so grown up to me in these pictures!
Big sister is pretty sweet and is so super excited for Max to be going to school! Each day as she leaves for school she tells him to have a good day and as soon as she gets home she can’t wait to hear how his day at school went (just like he does for her). They are so sweet together!
This shirt he is wearing was made by my mom. He loved that it is a M AND a football!
Pointing to his name tag over his coat hook.
Playing on the carpet with toys while waiting for all the preschool friends to arrive.
All week long during our Exploration play time, Max spent most of his time playing with the play dough. I actually didn’t realize how much that kid loves play dough!
During our snack time we watch scripture videos on the IPad.
One school day, Austin came home for a minute to change clothes. Instead of just changing clothes and leaving, we roped him into reading us a story. : D
The kids loved having our “guest” read to them!
Sharing with the class the photo page he made:
Max also really enjoyed going to the Reading Center and having me read to him. (On Friday, baby Myles refused to nap so he joined us for preschool as well!)
We haven’t really done any “learning” yet at school, but Max is still doing so great! He is participating and he is so cute singing our songs and listening to the stories and working on his work. And I actually feel so much closer to him as I teach him at school! I am really excited about this and think it will be great for our family and my and Max’s relationship!
