This week we started a new routine. I get up at 6:45 and get ready and start breakfast. Then the kids get up at 7:15 and get ready. At 8:30 we take Miss Makenna across the street to the bus stop. Then we have a hour to clean up, take care of the baby, and get ready for preschool. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday we have preschool in the morning. On Tuesday and Thursday we relax. : ) Then we have lunch and nap time. At 4:00 we pick Makenna up from the bus stop. And that’s our life now! : )
Pictures of Miss Makenna this week:
New outfit from Grandma Becky:
So it looks like a normal fishtail braid…
…but it is braided on all four sides and forms a “box fishtail.”
Outfit made by Grandmom:
Hairbows made at our Alabama girl’s day bow making party:
This tshirt was made by Grandmom. It has a big “K” for kindergarten and her name on it.
More outfits made by Grandmom:
One day Austin got off work early. He and Max had a stick fight while waiting for Makenna to get off the bus. Boys!!!
Love this big boy!
Fun Max:
One day on the bus a little girl kept LICKING Makenna’s hair!!! Makenna kept telling her to stop and trying to move away from her, and that girl kept licking her braid! How bizarre is that?!? Well the next day I put this note in Makenna’s lunch box:
I thought the note was HILARIOUS! Makenna told me it was really weird… hahaha
Makenna came home with this paper one day. I love that she knows how to make good choices. Hopefully she will NEVER throw a toy rainbow!
The last couple of days have been COLD! Love this cute baby in his hoody!
This week Makenna started back to dance. This was her first time back dancing since her recital last December (then her old teacher had a baby and moved to California). We are now at a new dance studio. She decided she wanted to just take ballet now instead of ballet and tap. She is so excited to be back in dance!
Makenna’s school is doing a fundraiser. We had to give them some e-mail addresses and in doing so Makenna won a prize—mustaches! Haha we have had fun with these suckers! : D
Austin looked SO creepy in his mustache!!!
The baby HATED his mustache and kept trying to eat it OFF HIS FACE, haha.
When we went to run errands, Max kept on his mustache. He got a LOT of comments about being able to grow so much facial hair at such a young age!
And there you have it! Photographic proof that we existed this week! : D
P.S. As I looked at pictures of Makenna at school, I noticed that the name of her school was in a lot of the pictures. And it made me think—my children’s names are on our blog. Where we live is on our blog. What we do is on our blog. Where Makenna goes to school is on our blog. What if some weirdo reads my blog and then goes to Makenna’s school and uses all the information from the blog to kidnap her?!? My kids are not with me 24/7 now so I need to be more careful about keeping them safe. Hence the no more public blog thing! I also realized, I don’t even really care so much if no one can read my blog. I write for ME and as my journal and scrapbook all in one. So I am a-ok with a private blog!
