We LOVE birthdays around here and always want to stretch out the birthday festivities as long as possible. On Sunday, as I already blogged about, we had a little birthday dinner party to celebrate Makenna’s birthday.
On Monday, Makenna received a birthday package from her Grandma Becky:
This is a fun magnetic book. On each page is a different princess that Makenna can dress up in their magnetic clothes and accessories:
Not only was she SUPER excited about all of her new clothes (Makenna is definitely a girlie girl who loves her clothes!), she was also super excited about her new hair bows and her new bracelet (it’s on her arm in that picture) and insisted on taking another picture with them all:
Grandma Becky didn’t forget about Mr. Max (who kept begging, “please, can I just OPEN one of your presents, Makenna?!?) and sent him a fun animal sticker book:
After opening their presents, the kids spent the whole afternoon playing with their new books:
Thanks Grandma Becky! Makenna is in heaven with her new clothes and bows and bracelet and book! She LOVES all of them! Max has also really enjoyed his animal book! : )
On Tuesday, Makenna continued her birthday celebration by bringing cupcakes to preschool to share with her classmates.
Notice that she is wearing her new green dress from Grandma Becky. Some of her first words this morning were, “Today I can wear my BEAUTIFUL new green dress! I want to wear it for my birthday at school!” : ) She is also wearing the green feathered hair bow and bracelet. : )
After she got in the car after preschool she said, “Guess who they sang happy birthday to today at school?!? Me!!!” She was THRILLED with that, ha ha. She was also happy to have just another little part of her birthday early!
