Happy Anniversary!

Sunday was our four year anniversary!  I was so grateful to be able to spend the day with Austin, even if it was just spent driving from Tucson back to Glendale!  Thank you once again to Laura and Brittney!  They kept our kids ALL weekend so I could head to Tucson to be with Austin!  That was actually our first anniversary without kids, lol.  Makenna was a little over a month old on our first anniversary! : )

To Austin—Thank you for being such a fantastic husband and Daddy!  You have had to put up with a lot!  We definitely had our struggle getting used to being married and living with each other.  It was so hard for me to be stuck in Rexburg with no school, job, car, or friends left in town while you went to school and then work each day! And then we were pregnant just two short months after getting married!  It was SUCH an adjustment, but we made it through!  And now, four short years later, we have our gorgeous little Makenna and our handsome Mr. Max!  Thanks for putting up with me during the struggle of being a newlywed, then being pregnant and a new mom, and then (six months later!) pregnant and a new mom once again!  We have already faced much more than I would ever have dreamed—two kids, graduation, a move to a new state, medical school, and then my horrible post-partum depression.  Honestly love, if we have made it through this, we can make it through anything and everything!

You are remarkably patient and kind.  You are seriously the best Dad imaginable.  You love us and you care for us and you preside over our home with a spirit of righteousness.  Thanks for being the best husband!  I’m sure we will have many more challenges in the road ahead (Leg surgery! Rotation in Tucson! Moving to Michigan! Crazy 4th year with you being gone for months on end! Graduation! Moving again! Residency! Probably moving again! On and on!), but like I said, we’ve made it through so far so we can make it through anything! I love you!  Here’s to many, many more anniversaries!
