Saturday Fun Day

Saturday morning we left our house early and ran a few errands. Then Austin took Max to gymnastics. Makenna and I picked Max up from class so Austin could go on visits with the Elder’s Quorum. While he was gone, the kids and I went to the mall to meet up with some friends for a Saturday Fun Day. We had planned to just have lunch in the Food Court and then play in the play area for a while, but while we were walking to the play area we saw a stage and booths set up for a wellness day. Radio Disney was there doing a little show. The kids learned a new dance:

Then they called some kids up to play a game. Makenna was chosen as a contestant!

Makenna had to watch some pictures. She had a green ball and she had to be the first to hold up her ball if it was a picture of something energy efficient.

She did a GREAT job for being by far the youngest contestant, however she did not win the game. She walked home with a consolation prize. But that’s okay; she didn’t even realize she didn’t win! : )

After watching another game, we went over to a booth and the kids got little temporary tattoos on their hands:

Then we went to another booth where the kids spun a wheel, answered a question, and got a prize.

After visiting a few more booths (and getting all sorts of goodies; the kids were most excited about their free chapsticks!), we finally ended up at the play place, and the kids were able to play for over an hour:

We actually had a really fun time. It was a great way to spend the day when Daddy was gone! Thanks for meeting us and playing with us, friends!
