Trip to Alabama, Part 4—Iron Bowl

It all started with this:

My Dad, who is a HUGE Auburn fan, put one of his Auburn t-shirts on Max.  Well, soon Makenna got in the game with a shirt of her own:

And then I had a great idea—since the Iron Bowl was the next day (the Iron Bowl is when Auburn plays Alabama.  These two are one of the biggest rivalries in college football!), let’s have an Iron Bowl tailgate party!!! So we all got dolled up in Auburn clothes (except my sister, who is a traitor and goes to school at Alabama, and her husband Joel, who is a HUGE Alabama fan, and their little girl KD), had some yummy football party food, and took a zillion pictures!

The girls—Me, Traitor Kim in her Alabama shirt, and Hollee:

Eating some football food—lots of chips, dips, little cocktail hotdogs, cupcakes, soda, etc.

Grandmom made Makenna a new Auburn hairbow and cheerleading uniform:

The Grandkids:

The cheerleaders:

We told the cheerleaders to do a toetouch—and so they did:

So then we went outside and Kim showed them how to do a REAL toetouch—I can’t believe she can still jump like that!!!

Auburn may have lost the game, but War Eagle!!!
